Favorite Memory: "Quiz Bowl was always extremely fun. I always felt proud of contributing to the success of my team. Every meet was wonderful- whether it turned out to be a success or not- and I learned more pointless trivia than I ever could have imagined while participating in it. Although we will not be able to go to the state competition we qualified for this year, I will always keep my memories of it close."
Fifth Graders are writing some awesome poems!
"Makes me Feel Happy" by Rocco Costa, "Germs Roam" by Kaden Llerenas, and "Burger Joint" by Allyson Jahnke.

One memory/highlight: "A vivid memory that comes to my mind is the time that I hit my first home run. It was during my sophomore year while we were playing at Owen-Gage, there were already two outs and I was up to bat. I had two strikes on me and I was under so much pressure because I knew the pitcher was gonna pitch a changeup. I took a step out of the batter's box to look up at my coach and he gave me a reassuring smile and a thumbs up to calm me down. As I stepped back in the box I felt more confident. I waited for the pitch and when I hit the ball I just had this feeling and I knew that ball was gone. As I ran to first base I watched that ball soar over the fence in right-center. I kept running and when I reached third base my coach gave me a big high-five and he had the biggest smile on his face. The best part was when I reached home plate because my whole team was there waiting for me as they all cheered to congratulate me."
