On behalf of Peck's NHS and Girl Scout Troop 77448, we would like to thank all of you for participating in the food drive to assist the Weekend Food Program. We had no idea what participation would look like, so we set a goal of 250 items. I'm excited to report that our amazing community blew that goal out of the water! Students, parents, and community members rose to the challenge and donated a total of 2,114 items! We can now ensure that the program will run through the end of the school year. Thank you SO much!
The winning class was Mrs. Fuller's kindergarten, donating a total of 876 items! As promised, they will be having an ice cream party for their hard work. :)
Mrs. Dumaw's and Mrs. Smith's classes also exceeded expectations, donating 611 and 397 items, respectively. For their hard work, their students will all be getting popcorn this Friday.
Thank you, everyone, for your support and hard work in helping to keep this important program functioning. The success of this food drive is evidence of what our incredible community is capable of when we pull together to help those in need!
